International Teams

The FIRST Tech Challenge Turkiye Season is open to all international teams within the scope of capacity.

The planned event schedule is as follows:

• November 29-30, 2024: 1st Üsküdar Tournament
• November 30 – December 1, 2024: 2nd Üsküdar Tournament
• End of December: Turkiye Championship

Important Rules:

• Teams must be from middle schools (5th-8th Grades, 11-14 years old), as we are running FTC in Türkiye as Middle School only. It would not be fair to our local teams to have teams from High schools outside of Türkiye come and compete with them.
• Each team should consist of a maximum of 15 students
• The team must be under the responsibility of an organization, school, etc.
• Our Events are run in Turkish. We won’t say there is no English, but we do not commit to any sort of regular English communication or language standards for volunteers.
• Ceremonies and announcements will be entirely in Turkish. You’re welcome to bring someone who can translate for you, you can also ask us for someone, but there is no guarantee we will be successful in finding someone. You are allowed to have one translator assist with judging as well.
• Teams may attend in Türkiye, but they may not advance to World Championships from our events if they are from countries with FTC programs. They may only compete at the local qualifier level in Türkiye.
• If teams are from a country without an FTC program, they may advance to championships upon agreement that they meet our team requirements here, and then they must attend at least one qualifier, and if they want to advance further, they would then have to attend our national championships to earn a spot at the World Championships.
